What You Will Learn

  • Let us take the mystery out of your emergency preparedness planning. This session is emergency preparedness for the "non-emergency manager." The presenters will review how to draft a facility preparedness plan that meets the needs of the facility without all of the emergency management jargon, complexity, or confusion. Attendees will learn how to talk through and promote their emergency plan with surveyors, leadership, and team members. A plan template will be provided to session attendees.
  • Learn about a simple but effective facility emergency preparedness plan that meets regulatory standards
  • Learn how to speak about the plan with surveyors, facility leadership, and team members to promote understanding, participation, and partnership within your emergency preparedness program
  • Receive a plan template and CMS Appendix Z E-tag crosswalk
